Celebrating the Pursuit of Happiness

2007-2008

Julie Paschkis Pursuit of Happiness Picture

This website is designed to help you become familiar with the fabulous books we received through the We the People bookshelf grant.  For the next year we will highlight these books in different library programs.  On this website you will find everything from links to book club reading guides to the Pima County Public Library catalog record.  We hope that the information you find here will inspire you to read some of these books and consider what the pursuit of happiness means to different people in different places and in different times.  We have broken down this website into pages based on recommended reading levels, but these are only a guide.  Please note that titles with an asterisk (*) are also available in Spanish translation.  The Journal of Wong Ming-Chung and Eperanza Rising were donated by Scholastic, Inc.  We hope that you will explore everything this collection has to offer.  Feel free to contact us if you have any questions.
